Nick Edwards - Finance Director
Nick graduated with a degree in History from Durham University and was a Barclays sponsored student who also acted as President of Durham University’s Sports Union.
Upon graduating, Nick qualified as an ACA with Arthur Andersen, where he worked in the Financial Markets advisory practice, followed by the Corporate Treasury Consulting team advising listed companies on their foreign exchange, interest rate and cashflow risk management.
After qualifying, Nick progressed into Investment Banking and worked in the Corporate Finance team at Deutsche Bank for 3 years where he was involved in a number of transactions across the IT and Business Services sectors, both on origination and execution.
Nick left Deutsche Bank in 2002 to join multinational business process outsourcer, Xchanging plc. Among a number of roles, Nick ran Sales teams, Commercial teams and Corporate Development and was the Finance Director for businesses in France and Germany. He was then appointed Finance and Commercial Director of Xchanging’s insurance outsourcing business with operations in outsourcing, software and consulting across the UK, US and India. With a headcount of over 2,000 people, Nick also oversaw HR, Legal and Property teams and negotiated and structured large and complex outsourcing arrangements.
Nick joined Moorfield in December 2008 and is the Group Finance Director. Nick is responsible for the Group Finance function which includes financial and management reporting, banking relationships, investment financing and the finance team.
