Moorfield Group owns approximately 12.5% of Avanti Capital PLC (“Avanti”) which is quoted on the Alternative Investment Market. Avanti originally raised funds from its shareholders to invest in private companies using a combination of equity and debt.
Since 1997 Avanti has invested in a wide range of businesses in the UK and USA and has actively worked with the management of its investee companies to both develop their businesses and to increase and realise their capital investment.
Avanti currently has four investments in leisure, telecom mobile services, broadband teaching resources and pharmaceutical marketing. Avanti’s directors stated intention is to realise these investments as appropriate and return cash to investors. Moorfield Group itself has no active involvement in the management or activities of Avanti.
