The Printworks, Exeter - December 2011
MREF II acquired the former Printworks site in Exeter to develop a 492 bed purpose built student accommodation scheme.
The site which is situated on Western Way close to Exeter University Campus exchanged in January 2011 subject to planning and was granted full planning consent in April 2011 and subsequently completed in December 2011. The scheme is to be completed for the start of the October 2013 academic year.
Exeter University has become a top ranking university of choice for both domestic and overseas students. The Printworks is in a central location and just minutes away from the university campus. This will be Exeter’s largest purpose built private scheme, targeting domestic and overseas students with an offering of both studio and cluster apartments as well as extensive communal facilities.
The Printworks site is being developed by Moorfield’s student accommodation development arm, Domain. Moorfield is working in association with student accommodation specialists Campus Development Management (CDM) and local Exeter based developers Yelverton Properties to deliver the scheme.
