Moorfield currently owns a 7% share holding in Scientia Resource Management Limited. This is the holding company of two software businesses, Scientia Limited (“Scientia”) and Pythagoras International Limited (“Pythagoras”) that merged their businesses in October 2008 to form an international business providing software products and services to large (often multi-national) businesses and government and public sector bodies.
Moorfield originally invested in Pythagoras in 2000 and was a 65% shareholder prior to the merger. Pythagoras is an Anglo-Swedish real estate and facilities management business headquartered in Stockholm. It offers object-orientated software products in a suite of modules used in space planning, space management, departmental cost recharging and document management (including title deeds, leases, plans, asset registers, health and safety, maintenance contracts etc) for all users of real estate be they owners, occupiers, managers or agents. The software is web enabled and can be accessed from any remote location. Pythagoras can also provide a service to host clients’ data.
Pythagoras’ software has been accredited to assist in the preparation of Energy Performance Certificates for commercial, government and local authority buildings.
Clients include the Swedish Government, Tetrapak, Skanska, National Air Traffic Services, City University and Imperial College, London, Moorfield Group, London Electricity and the Dutch tax authorities.
