The Moorfield Foundation
Moorfield has historically made regular charitable donations to a variety of worthy causes, however in 2008 it was decided to give this element of our Corporate Social Responsibility more structure by establishing our own charitable foundation to which we donate a proportion of our profits each year. The Moorfield Foundation will initially be focused on:
- Small charities where our donations make a significant difference to a disadvantaged group of people or community;
- Humanitarian causes with a particular focus on education and health;
- Projects that involve a real estate/construction element where we can also lend expertise/volunteers as appropriate.
The Foundation has a very wide mandate in respect of the types of causes it can support and our focus includes ensuring that we maximise the transfer of our donations to those most in need by minimising administrative leakage. Moorfield employees are also actively encouraged to raise money for charitable projects and Moorfield frequently sponsors our employees in their fund raising activities.
