Two of Moorfield’s three key investment professionals have been working together for over 20 years, and another has been working with them for over 13 years, the last 9 years as a director of Moorfield.
Recruitment Opportunity
The corporate origination team are looking to recruit an analyst with 2 to 3 years’ corporate finance experience. The position requires strong excel modelling skills and an understanding of financial statements to be able to carry out investment appraisals for new asset backed opportunities. The role will also involve carrying out research on new sectors and writing investor reports, with an opportunity to progress to origination and transaction execution.
The successful candidate will have a 2.1 or above (or equivalent) from a leading university and some real estate exposure from their time in corporate finance. Marc joined Moorfield in January 1996 and is the Chief Executive Officer. He is a graduate in Estate Management and a Chartered Surveyor who has worked for firms of chartered surveyors and investment banks, including Union Bank of Switzerland and NatWest Markets and was an Executive Director of Goldman Sachs International prior to joining Moorfield. Marc was a top rated real estate & equity analyst and advisor between 1989 and 1995 in both European Extel Survey and the International Investor Survey. He is a Member of the Investment Property Forum (IPF), a Policy Committee Member of the British Property Federation (BPF), a Member of the Property Advisory Group to the Bank of England, an adviser on real estate to the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) where he has sat on the panel that advises the RICS on the investment of its own capital.

Graham worked in partnership with Marc when the real estate equity investment advice ratings set out above were achieved.

He qualified with RSM Robson Rhodes LLP (now Grant Thornton UK LLP), where he became a partner in 1985 and had a variety of senior management roles including responsibility for London and the South-East and was Head of Corporate Finance for a number of years.
View Detailed C.V.Nick joined Moorfield in December 2008 and is the Finance Director. Nick has a degree in History from Durham University. Nick then qualified as an ACA with Arthur Andersen, where he worked in the Corporate Treasury Consulting team advising listed companies on their foreign exchange, interest rate and cashflow risk management and then spent 3 years in Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank where he was involved in a number of transactions across the IT and Business Services sectors. Before joining Moorfield in 2008, Nick was Finance and Commercial Director of Xchanging’s 2,000 person insurance outsourcing business across the UK, US and India, where as well as Finance he oversaw HR, Legal and Property teams, and negotiated and structured complex outsourcing arrangements. Nick is responsible for group finance including financial and management reporting, banking relationships, and the finance team.
Paul has a degree in Property Valuation & Finance and is a Chartered Surveyor. He gained 8 years of investment consultancy experience at CBRE and Kemsley Whitely & Ferris before joining Mapeley in 2001 where he was responsible for investment acquisition and investment asset management. Paul joined Moorfield in September 2006 where his principal responsibility is origination, transaction analysis and asset management.
Steve graduated from University College London and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with RSM Robson Rhodes LLP (now Grant Thornton UK LLP) becoming a senior manager and specialising in audit and transaction support for a range of businesses. He joined Moorfield in 2008 and his principal responsibility is financial and operational management for the hotel operations.
Isidore has a degree in Business Management and gained accounting and financial management experience in a number of companies after university. He joined Moorfield in 1992 and he is responsible for the accounting and quarterly reporting requirements for some of the limited partnerships.
Susan has worked in the real estate industry since 1987. Initially working in real estate management for Scotts Property Management and then Chesterton Property Management she joined Moorfield in 1996. Her responsibilities include a daily treasury management role and she is also responsible for the financial reporting of a number of investments.
Tim has a degree in Business Administration and is a Chartered Accountant. He joined the Company in August 1996 as Company Secretary and Financial Controller, having previously held senior financial positions in the areas of commercial property investment and development with Brixton plc and house-building with Charles Church Group.
